Who are you?
Hi, I’m Justin—an artist, writer, and former game maker based in Denver, Colorado. My creative foundation was laid in adolescence through skateboarding, which introduced me to the DIY ethos, punk rock counterculture, and the freedom of homemade videos. That early exposure to rebellion, resourcefulness, and raw storytelling still fuels my practice today.
I’m drawn to what’s often overlooked: quiet moments, minimal forms, and spaces of isolation. My work is a meditation on restraint—an ongoing search for beauty in the margins and meaning in what’s left unsaid.
What is this?
Currentss is an occasional newsletter in which I share what I’m currently watching, reading, playing, listening to, inspired by, and working on. It’s also an experiment in attempting to replace social media with more connected, collaborative conversations with like-minded people. Currentss is a place for me to learn more about writing, and ultimately, learn more about myself along the way.
